Had a problem with surging or bucking on acceleration. No check engine light. Removed the big round rubber air duct connecting the airbox to the throttle body. Examination showed it to be cracked. Duct taped it as a temporary fix until the new part ($$$) comes in.
Thought I would post this here for anyone else in the future. Might be worth a check if if they have the same problem.

I hope you bought a cold air intake kit from "ChromeIntakes". Its cheaper than the stock part.

Nope. Going stock. Replacement with a new stock one will take 5 minutes and then I'm good to go for another 5 years or so. Besides, I'm old and chrome just won't fit with my sedentary lifestyle.
