On my way to work my automatic 2009 Aveo5 started stuttering at around 60MPH and then the RPM gauge shot down to 0-RPM and wouldn't move. Shut car off, and turned back on. RPM gauge is still at 0. Idle seems to run fine and car shifts and runs fine other than the RPM gauge being at 0-RPM after the minor engine/tranny shaking. Everything else on the dashboard is working normal (i.e. speedometer, gas, etc.) Any answers as of what this could be?

FYI had a stuttering/jerking issue when trying to accelerate past a certain mph about 1.5 years ago before replacing the spark plugs
