      thermostat housing issue

      Hello,
I replaced my thermostat housing and thermostat, now I have a new issue. The car runs fine just sitting but when i accelerate the vehicle has an issue. The aveo appears to be steaming/leaking from the throttle body heater hose. The clip is secure and there was nothing else connecting the hose. When driving the temp also shoots all the way up. Does anyone have any suggestions?

      thank you

I don't have that engine. I suspect there is some blockage that is forcing flow onto that line. maybe the cause of breaking the clip. We need some of the later engine guys to chime in. There is a manual for your year car somewhere on the forum. go find it.

I did a bunch of looking the manuals. I believe you have the 1.6 LXV engine. I had seen post by other owners complaining or replacing the TSTAT body on those engines. Hopefully an owner with the same engine and experiences will help.

Yeah that is what I am hoping for. It appears this newer engine was only used for a short period of time.
