      I would not be scared to drive it, at 76k miles it would have went by now if it was going to. I think this problem is a bit hyped up, you can look at the belt to see what shape it is in. A clicking noise may come along as well if it was going to go, but the way the car has been driven and such I doubt you will have a problem, 2 weeks should not be a problem.

      thats not the "best" advise, just because it didnt break at 60k doesnt mean t will last "forever"

      well yeah, but I mean a couple of more miles shouldn't break it, unless he is doing some major driving, but it is still kind of risky no matter what, what about a carpool ?

      There is nothing you can do or look out for. If the belt goes, bye-bye valves.
