      Hello to all,

I have a 2009 Aveo and my dealer and maintenance guide suggest to swap the timing belt at 55,000-60,000 (90,000 Kms), since these are interference engines I would take their advice.

The dealership i bought my 07 aveo ls sedan from told me in 2010 i needed my belt changed at 90,000 so i did that now mind you i drive to work 75 miles one way so its 750 miles a week i rack up highway miles i had the belt changed. and then about 6 months later they told me that the changeover time had been changed to 60,000 i have changed jobs and no longer drive that distance but just for reference my car that i change the oil every 3000 miles on has been a great car excellent mileage for a good price i have the 5 speed manual trans and i am a big guy but this car has saved me so much money it cut my money on gas in half i had a S-10 pickup.
