timing bent tension increased??
I just redid my timing belt for the third time. The first time I had a mechanic buddy do it and the belt started to fray. The second time I did it and the water pump bearing went out.
Anyways, this time I got everything lined up perfectly as is required. Cams and crank lined up. Tensioner arrows were perfect after following the proper tensioning procedure. I must have spun the engine at least 20 times to be 100% sure everything lined up when I was done, which it did.
I left the top timing belt cover off because I also did the cam seals and I wanted to confirm they are not leaking. Well I let the car run and heat up a little. Then I looked at the timing belt tensioner and it's tighter. Is this normal?
