What is this Part? causing uneven idle

Mine started the uneven idle. I wiggled things attached to the air intake. pulling the bent aluminum thing on top to the left (pass'gr) side, it idles high and smooth, push to right ( driver) side and it almost stalls. What it this corrugated metal tube called , what is it attached to? Just replace to fix ? Photo will not rotate from upside down image, so bottom of image is top back of engine, part is the creased corrugated aluminum tube attached to air intake at bottom of pic
