I was wondering is anyone knew what this wire thing is for or called.. It's purple with a fuse looking thing with brown on the other end. It's on the driver side front frame rail.

that is the Ballast Resistor for the Engine Cooling and A/C Fan; it makes it where the fan can have two speeds according to the needs of the cooling system or Air Conditioning (if so Equipped) there is a thread explaining what it is here: http://www.aveoforum.com/forum/f108/...od-what-13091/
I really think it has something to do with the anti theft system.. I have noticed when you push the lock down twice it dosnt flash or chirp the horn.. Who knows though that could be another issue..Quote:
