So i have replaced the front wheel bearing and the struts and tires and ball joints and still have a rotating grinding noise like when the wheel bearing takes a dump if i look under the passingers side today i saw right by the wights on the long shaft a shiny spot like it was rubbing and a matching spot on the control arm but i sincerly doubt thats what it is as its such a loud noise any suggestions
not sure about "wights" but if the axle is rubbing the control arm, thats going to be loud. Like a dull circular saw cutting metal.. It also will transfer all the road noise to the frame of the car.
ok so i just went out in the parking lot (im at work) and the wheel was turned i could see the drivers side axle so i grabbed it and ta da there is an inch of play left to right or in and out of the tranny. check the axle nut on that side and its finger tight so i tightened it as much as i could with what i have whitch is channel locks lol i guuess it better then nothing and peened over the lock tabs again going to replace it and see if it resolves my issues
do you think it will? could that have been the issue?............and your right rabbit it did/does sound like a circular saw thats dull as **** cutting metal lol
