The sonic is driving me nuts!

Ok, Here's the deal. I'M FED UP! I keep seeing Sonics all over my town and It's driving me nuts. I want one so bad and even after seeing them at the auto show, they just look so nice on the road. Not a single one of them has a manufacturer plate, GM employee tag or anything. I want to know where all these people are getting them. I live in Sterling Heights, Michigan (Metro Detroit) and I've already seen quite a few this week alone. Might be trading up soon If I can find where they're escaping from

I think you are seeing things

My guess is that they are testing them, they do not go on sale until fall, unless maybe they sell and deliver their pre-orders early, but I do not think that is right. Testing is my only guess, since you live right in Detroit, get us a picture if you can do it in a safe manor

I'll attempt to capture one of these wild beasts for the forum any chance I can get a forum decal for an image of one? I'll even get a pic of my lil' Aveo next to it. So far I've seen 1 silver sedan, and 2 hatchbacks(1 white, 1 silver). Hopefully I see another real soon! I might die If I can't get one within a year. I just love them so much, especially the Z-Spec(Not so much the color scheme, but the concept is awesome!)

Could also be aftermarket suppliers testing their parts. I know a friend of mine in Dtroit area was driving a new Fiat a few months ago for his company.

I saw the youtube video where they are testing them around the US so I'm guessing that is what you are seeing

SO, I was working the other day, and during a delivery lo and behold what jumps in the turn lane in front of me? A white Sonic HB, now in the frenzy to grab my phone and take a picture I almost dropped it out of my window, AND almost knocked over my Slurpee. To top it off the only couple pics i got were of the ass end of the car alone -_____- This is one elusive creature! I can upload the pics, but considering how little of the car I managed to capture, It's probably not worth it. I can try again I suppose. What do you guys think? You care If you have to squint to see one in the wild? haha

I know someone on one of the teams testing them. It's basically the last line of testing before they go to mass production for consumers. He let me take it for a spin, pretty nice car. I wish it was coming out sooner but I'll just have to settle for the Fiesta instead

Anyway, they've been on sale in Europe and elsewhere for a while, so it's not like we can't see versions of them or get details from drivers and car reviewers to find out how they handle and such.

You'll be seeing mostly white Sonics until they launch. Right now they are only testing in two colors. Can't remember the second color off the top of my head.
