Trading Aveo in
I thought I was never going to ask another question here seeing that I am getting a new car ( In a few hours) but that car is a Chevy Sonic, which replaces the Aveo. Here is my question " On the 2014 Chevy sonic ( not sure about the LS model) there is what looks to be a fuel door latch. The salesman says no, but it is clearly a latch. There is nothing about it in the owner's manual that I downloaded but it is a latch and my 10 year old Aveo had a latch on the fuel door so it makes sense Check out the image If it is a lock how does it work? I will check it out on my car when I pick it up and give the answer if no one here knows.

My 05 has the fuel door release, from what I have gathered it should just pop open when pushing the opposite side. Nothing I have found by surfing google has said anything about a fuel door release.
I would walk out to the Sonic you intend to buy and see for yourself.
Best of luck,

Picked up the car and it has that same looking latch with hole like the image but in the image on the left side the cylinder that should be there is empty. Not sure if that is something offered with the other models, while at the dealer i looked at the small car "Spark" and it has a latch. I can't beiieve mine does not. I will try contacting GM
