Chevy Aveo 2011 - 4 speed - noise in D/R when cold

Hi all,

I have the 1.6 hatchback aveo(2011/12) with the 4-speed tranny.(Aisin).

Lost the manual but I do believe it takes the T-IV ATF. I changed it with the filter at 70,000 kms with Toyota T-IV.

Now at 100,000 kms after a few years of heavy use, daily frequent slow, stop-start traffic etc.

When it is cold and I put it into D or R straight away after starting it makes a slight grinding-like noise. I put it back into N or P straight away.

If I leave it idling for just 1 minute or so and put it into R/D then it's quiet.
Seems to be taking a bit of time to circulate the ATF??

Could the filter be slightly blocked, hence the delay in getting the ATF moving or a worn pump?

Worth performing another filter and ATF change?

What is the general service interval for this tranny?

No other issues - changes smoothly. Level good when cold and hot. I read that these Aisin trannys are robust so would surprise me if anything mechanical is wrong with just 100,000 KMS.
