      Ect sensor location?

Ok so I have a problem with the work car...05 Aveo 1.6 had codes for the coolant temp sensor and ect sensor... thought they were the same. I replaced the one on the back of the block but still have the ect sensor code. There has to be another sensor somewhere but I can't find it. Any ideas...I know there has to be something because even unplugged the guage wasn't affected

Ok so I checked the voltage and it's a solid 4.83 at the sensor. It doesn't change. So where do I look next...sensor is new and wires don't look bad... could it be a bad ground or is something else running through the same wiring

Ok so today I got the high voltage code again and 4.91 on the meter...messed with the wires on the top of the motor and it revs high...so I'm thinking about just replacing the whole harness...really don't want to try searching for one bad wire in that mess

Can you describe how you're testing the ECT voltage?

Checking the only way to check at the connector...key on...but I think I found the issue...the shielding is worn off the wire and has oil seepage in it. I'm going to have to just replace the connector and about 4 inches of wire.
