Electrical issues, very strange to me.

New to the forum. 2008 Aveo sedan bought new in 08. Issue is no cluster function, no horn, no taillights. Drivers side headlight fuse keeps blowing. When I replace the fuse the headlight will work and all cluster, horn, and tailing issues are gone while the headlights are on. Turn the headlights off, no cluster, no horn, no taillights, oh and no radio as well, forgot to mention that earlier. This of course causes headlight fuse to blow again. I suspect I have a short or crossed wire or a bad connector somewhere but I don't know where to begin.

Does this happen if either the high or low beams are on, or just one of them but not the other?

there can be short when the electrical wires enter the frame. Look there. It might require taking the left fender off the car. Also look into the fuse box and under for corrosion.
Please do not power off, firmware update pending.....

Was this the solution to your problem? I am having the same issues and it is driving me nuts! All electronics do not work until I turn my low beams on. What part is in the picture above? Begging for answers! Lol

I replaced fuses in both under the hood and steering column. Eventually I smelled burning under the wires under the hood that my local shop fixed for $50. They basically burned up
