      O2 Sensors Question

Here's a question. I used the search function before but couldn't find much (unless I did something wrong).

Are the O2 sensors for the 2006 1.6L and 1.2L models the same components? I imagine that they would be, but I can't find any info anywhere to confirm or deny this. Also, would it be quicker to just throw some universal sensor on?

The wife's car needs a sensor swap according to a local mechanic (crappy fuel mileage recently). Apparently no parts stores around here have anything available for the 1.2L specifically and the local dealership wants an arm and a leg for an OEM one (~$300).

I assume there was a check-engine light and a code?

It might be hard to cross-reference part numbers for the 1.2 and 1.6 (Rockauto is usually a good resource), because the 1.2 was never sold in Canada/U.S.

That's the route I would take: through online sources or your dealer, compare the GM part numbers for both.
