      question

I'm replacing my gague cluster because it went out. I'm looking for one and they go for around $50. Most said the milage. If I get one will it say their milage or mine? Would there be a way to put my milage on it?

It would say their mileage. You would need someone to reprogram the cluster. Legally, the only ones that can do that are dealerships. I bet they would have to put the replacement cluster in themselves to do it too.
I leased Pontiac Wave from September 2006 to August 2011.

i think the mileage is stored in the ECU. So it should have the correct mileage.

No that is not what the rabbit is saying. Just buy a used cluster and it should show the correct millage. The two devices talk and the cluster displays what the ECU knows. The ECU always knows.

when I swapped clusters on my cobalt, the mileage changed to whatever mine was because it was stored on the ecu, not the cluster.

Update: got the new one and installed it. It says their milage and not mine. Reads the correct rpm, gas and milage. Is there a way to reset it?
