I might be able to make it a preference in the user control panel.

So the header would still say "Aveo Club". The page address would be aveoforum.com/whatever.

Yup, more Aveo owners is the goal.

And so far, so good: new members signing up regularly - averaging 2 - 3 a day in the last 4 weeks - and the sign up rate is increasing. The new domain will help. The more, the merrier.

      ----------------------------------------------------------

Just a heads up: we're going to do the domain switch sometime tomorrow.

When that happens, you will have to sign in again (if you had checked the box that keeps you permanently logged in).

Also, since cookies will be reset the forum may "forget" which threads you have read vs. which are new.

The reset threads are easy to catch up... And about more members signing up - like I said earlier, I try to get as many people (out on the street) as possible into this. If I see someone with an aveo and they look like they know how to sign up for a forum... I tell them about aveoclub.net. Just another day invited a kid with a 2nd gen Red aveo with white rims. The more people sign up the more knowledge there is.

Problem is they mostly probably go to "aveoclub.COM" (everyone goes to .com by default) and then they say, "what the @*&^# was that guy talking about, there's nothing here!"

I've only seen one Aveo owner in this town so far that I think to invite - body kit & wheels. Haven't seen the car stopped yet though. Always driving by.
