I sure would love a ScanGauge! Was reading about the DIY ones that you can build but they look more trouble then they are worth.

Re: New contest! Win a ScanGauge 3-in-1 automotive computer (ends July 31)
If you can trace & splice wires (VSS, injector signal, neg, pos), you can make your own slimmed down version of a ScanGauge.

It improves your awareness of how you drive your car in most cases... They say it helps driver's with heavy foot to see the actual MPG as they drive. :D Also it helps erase codes and read them right there, which is useful.

LOL... it's ANY thread on this forum, so not just here. I was trying to tell you this earlier when you told me to read the first forum. So anywhere - introductions, pictures and videos, open forum - all of it counts. :D

Re: New contest! Win a ScanGauge 3-in-1 automotive computer (ends July 31)
Posts in any threads in any forums count. Good luck!
Well the company is providing the ScanGauge. We gave away the $150 for Aveo parts in the last contest though.

Re: New contest! Win a ScanGauge 3-in-1 automotive computer (ends July 31)
lol idk about that, your gonna have to post about 30 times and hour to catch up :P
-
Re: New contest! Win a ScanGauge 3-in-1 automotive computer (ends July 31)
Not necessarily. Byron did it with very few posts. It does give you more chances to win to have a lot of posts but definitely doesn't guarantee it. :D

LOL... It's not always about the post count. Larger post count gives you more chances, but byron84 had... what 28 posts or something when he won? 8) In your case it definitely helped... ;)

Re: New contest! Win a ScanGauge 3-in-1 automotive computer (ends July 31)
Good luck to everyone that posted in the last month now that the contest is almost over once again.

Re: New contest! Win a ScanGauge 3-in-1 automotive computer (ends July 31)
that passed rather quickly

Re: New contest! Win a ScanGauge 3-in-1 automotive computer (ends July 31)
You need to buy a shim kit for the rear. Really not worth it since even really low you won't pick up enough camber or toe to wear the rear tires faster than the fronts.
A slightly above stock camber degree reading is better for handling as well.

Re: New contest! Win a ScanGauge 3-in-1 automotive computer (ends July 31)
So if this contest ends at midnight E.S.T today, that's 9 pm our time (Pacific), right? If so, that means only two more hours left... 8)

I wasn't going to respond to that post, since that guy sounds suspicious, like a spammer or something. but since you guys already answered, this is what looks suspicious:
First off, I couldn't find any info on discount tires store website about them even carrying XXR tires, and their list is pretty long. (HTTP://WWW.tires.com). Second, none of the Discount Tire (aka America's Tire in OR and CA) do alignments, just sell tires and wheels and do balance and installation and such... third, a link, but no specification on which model of the wheels he got.
The only thing he spent time on was spelling out the website. Let's see if he posts again.

Re: New contest! Win a ScanGauge 3-in-1 automotive computer (ends July 31)
Xxr is just sportmax. One of the most listed wheels on eBay.
?
Dunno about the post though like you said. But I just answered the question.

Re: New contest! Win a ScanGauge 3-in-1 automotive computer (ends July 31)
Congrats! I knew it wasn't in the cards for me so I bought one and it came in the mail friday!!! Used it that night headed to a friends 36 mi away and got 43.7mpg. It is going to change how I approach driving even more now. You can see how things like ac affect the mpg and how efficient the car gets when the water temp gets up to 190. Grill block will be going on for faster warm up for short trips. I am really impressed with it ...enjoy!
