use aheat gunaround the base and pull HARD. or ifyou not trying to savethe knob i used a big channel locksand brock th knob off

depends on what knob you use. I had to grind the shifter to fit my shift knob.
you need a reverse lock out friendly knob. heat is what expands it to take it off though.
