05 Chevy Aveo LS Rear Coil Spring Perch Rusted Out

Hello Guys & Gals. I have an 05 Aveo LS that I just about replaced everything on it since I have owned it now for 3 years. In northeast Ohio we have fun with winters and dealing with salt on the roads. These cars rust out nicely here. A month ago I was driving home from work and went across some rough railroad tracks. The next thing I hear is grinding against the rim. I pulled over to see the rear coil spring out of position and jammed into the inside of the rim. The top spring perch rusted out enough to fold upward allowing the spring to pop out of its upper holder. This car runs like a champ but I cannot drive it with no spring in it and cant seem to figure out if I can fix this. Has anyone ever dealt with this?
