1980 Aveo?

I actually ran out of gas the other day! I was on a long cruise back home late at night and I just wanted to get home. I was less than a mile away, when accelerating and going up an incline, the car stalled out.. (low fuel light had been on- it was definately empty)

I quickly made a u-turn, since there was no traffic around, and began coasting back down the hill in neutral. I had just passed these gas pumps I dont usually go to. There in a supermarket parking lot.
I get there, and ah-fuzuk...there closed.

I remebered then that I should still have roadside assistance available so I got the number off the door glass, and entered my information.

The recording: "Ok mister, ----- we have your information on your 1980 chevrolet Aveo"


The recording actually said 1980 aveo...wtf is a 1980 aveo? holy ****, they better provide roadside rebuild service if thats the case. lolol.

Just thought that was totally funny. The operator chick thought it was odd too.

Wow... talk about weird. I think that's the year that Chevy was introducing the cracker-box Chevette as their sub-compact model. Big difference...

totally wierd. Although I think the Chevette was launched in 1976 believe it or not.

I think another Isuzu-built subcompact called the Chevy Spectrum was thrown in the mix somewhere in the late 80s but I really can't recall much about it.

i had a car once that i couldnt recall. of all the cars i have owned i remember what happened to each and every one of them. except one. i had a 67 rally sport camaro. good looking car but for the life of me i had no idea where it went in the end. it was like one day it was there and then the next completely gone. its like it just vanished without a trace and i know it wasnt stolen. then again, back in those days i was smoking a lot of weed.
