2005 Aveo LT HB floorboard LED Strips?

Hello Everyone! This might have been asked before but, what is the easiest way to wire an LED strip under the dash for floorboard lighting? I would like to wire a white LED strip on each side to come on with the dome light. Would it be easier to run a wire up to the dome light and tie it in, or some other way. I would like to have them come on with the other 2 dome lights and look nice.

Thanks for any suggestions, I would like to know how difficult it would be before I bought them. :)

tap into drivers side fuse box. very easy that way

Silly Question, how can I tap into the dome lights?

I can't seem to find where the wire that runs from the done light is connected in the dash. If I can find that, I can simply tie into it. Anyone know where that is?

I ended up using a fuse tap on the clock and radio fuse. As long as the key is on, the lights are on. I couldn't find an easy way to tie into the dome light system. Do you guys know how/where to tie in? All of the wires I found were always hot supply lines for the dome light.

I would love to have them wired into the dome light, but I am unsure of how to do so. I don't want them to be "Always On".

Any ideas? I checked the dome light fuse, it's hot even if all the doors are closed.

Thanks for the idea, Now I am tempted to make those kind of lights, at least for the back also cause my dome light is in front near the mirror and the back doesn't light up to much. Since I put the LED light, it works a bit better.

I changed mine out with an LED light from superbrightleds and it's WAY brighter. I'll have to upload a pic of how bright my floorboard lights are at night. :)

I love my Aveo, it's so easy to mod things. Not a lot of bells and whistles to waste space. lol
