Exclamation 2007 Aveo5 Cranks but does not start.

Having starting Issues with my 2007 Aveo5. It Cranks but does not start, I was told to replace the Cam Sensor and the Crankshaft Sensor. Both of them I replaced, than I was told to replace the Alternator and to get a new battery which I did, and its still not turning over. After this I replaced the Spark Plugs, Coil Pack, and Spark Plug wires and still is not starting, I also replaced the 100 amp fuse which is attached to the Positive post on the Battery. All of the fuses are good, So Ive hit a wall and can not seem to figure this out

Okay, the one thing you haven’t mentioned is about fuel; when you turn the key on, but don’t attempt to start it, do you hear the fuel pump at all? Another good way to find out is to go to the test port on the fuel rail, and push in the Schrader valve and see if fuel sprays out or if it just dribbles out.

Yes, The Fuel pump turns on when I flip the key, and it does spray fuel when I push on that Schrader Valve. Could it be the Starter is bad or even worn out?

Do you notice anything off while it’s cranking? (Like points where it sounds like the starter speeds up and then slows back down?) or is it cranking slowly?

It sounds like it has full battery power when it cranks. When I pulled the plugs on it, they were soaked in Oil. Would too much oil be an issue with starting? I have yet to drain it and refill the Oil, That is my next step in the process I have gotten to. Also, I noticed that the Belt by Cam sensor is slightly offset, could this also cause a starting issue?

Yes, if the timing belt is off by several teeth it will not start. Go ahead and align the crankshaft timing mark and see if the camshaft timing mark lines up; if it doesn’t, I would immediately inspect the timing belt for any wear and damage.

Here's what mine did, if I had the key off, and cranked it, it would try to start or did start but only for 1-2 sec. Turned out the ECM went bad.

With oil on the spark plugs you probably have a different issue, but my intermittent crank + no start was caused by a faulty mass airflow sensor.

I had the same problem, cranks but intermittently won't start, in a european Chevrolet Aveo 1.4

It was a faulty fuel pump relay, in the main relay box. I changed the fuel pump relay and problem solved.
