Question: Did does it just pop right in the channel & stay there or did you have to glue it. What type of tubing is it rubber/Plastic. I have to check to see if the 04-08 old style is the same as the 06-10 new style. Door upper seals, but after putting that in does the door close god still. How it in the rain, does it work well in winter? After the car warms up - temps then sits all night in the cold? DO you have any info on that yet?

Don't get me wrong, but that's a lot of questions for a simple piece of tubing that costs $1.69, the answer to your questions is either yes or answered in an earlier post. It works well, go buy a piece and try it for yourself.
I have not glued it down yet because there doesn't seem to be a need to, we'll see as time goes on.
Thanks so you got this at a local auto store or hard ware store.

wipe your current seal with some alcohol/3m adhesion promoter and stick it on.
(i have not measured the gap for fit, but we carry multiple widths and heights from our supplier)
Just reporting back on the howling. I have on a couple of occasions noticed a very faint return of the howl in some pretty heavy winds, but nothing that can't be tolerated.
I have the howling issue also. Should have taken it in under the warranty, but too late. I will have to read through this thread later when I have more time.
Hey Rabbit and Brewster that looks like the kit I got at Lowes- it was cheap- less than 10 bux and came in a blue box with a car and or boat pic on the front. If you look at the photos ( I can provide more detail shots if needed ) I took of my car with the strips installed in the exterior segment on this site- you'll note I placed the strips all the way down past the uppermost front door hinge on either side- it's not stuck well in that exact section but as the strip and door start to curve above the hinge the strip is solidly on and tucked into the original weatherstrip. I get no noise- even on windy days. Before it sounded like a mini-hurricane sometimes.
