2010 Aveo LT Airbag Sensor on/off

Hello Everyone.

I recently purchased an Aveo LT and I'm having an issue with the passenger airbag light not responding properly. I know that, depending on the weight of the person, the system will decide to turn the airbad on or off but in my case, it's random. I can sit in it one minute and the airbag light will say "On" but if I try again later in the day, the airbag light will say "Off." It's not just random with me either. It's the same for my wife and friends.

According to me you should take your vehicle to the mechanic or if its under warranty you could even take it to the store from where you have purchased. May be they would be able to help you.

It should be covered under warranty. That means you can take it to ANY Chevy dealer to have it repaired.

Not all dealers are cooperative about doing warranty work, however. I had the same problem with the airbag light. You might find this post (click here) of interest.

The dealer finally repaired it. It probably is a loose connection under the seat.

I know that feeling... Im never gonna buy a chevy under warranty again for that reason... I had to take my car to a buick GMC dealer to get a new relay because my car wouldnt start. Told them the story of the chevy dealer being a bunch of penis lickers and they did the service. If i get anything under warranty its gonna be a chrysler product or a buick/gmc

never had a problem with getting warranty work done. can you change dealerships to a more agreeable dealer?
