      6.5 Speakers 2009 aveo5

So I'm looking to install some 6.5 speakers in my 2009 aveo5. I've never done any audio work or anything. I know I will need a 1 inch spacer. What all else will I need? Will the stock stereo be okay or is it worth upgrading?
These are the speakers I was looking at but haven't looked into them as much so I'm open to looking at other speakers Amazon.com: Pioneer TS-A1675R 6-1/2" 3-Way TS Series Coaxial Car Speakers: Automotive

Actually I found the stock speakers to be decent. it's the head system that was crap on mine. I have an 2006 SVP aveo. What head is in yours?

I just have the stock head. When I took it into a shop the mechanic said he would have to order some part for the radio that only chevy's need and it would be $200. Anybody else have issues similar with that?

You just been punked. Here is the adapter cable you need. My suggestion keep the speakers, replace the head.

I use a cheapo chinese double din with GPS. The Mp3 player sucks, however having a GPS in dash rocks.

So ive checked with 5 different audio stores and most want to charge $500. Is there anyway somebody could give me a complete list of items to order( preferably from the same site) needed to install the speakers and radio? And one of the Audio shops said if I installed a speaker with a built in tweeter it wouldn't work because of the one that is built into the dash.
