Scratching my head....Sounds like the buyer better do due diligence when purchasing which design of strut mount that is being offered. I haven't had the problem yet, but feel better prepared when the time comes. Yes, I have always, since Nov 2013 ,put (5) qts in and have never experienced any engine damage due to foaming. My wife and I drove to Phoenix and then on to Las Vegas. On way back east thru the Rockies I seldom got below 4.5K rpm gearing up and down elevations. When we hit the eastern slopes of CO and Western Kansas that 1.6, 108 hp DOHC hauled ass and sang like a choir.....so proud of it. No idication of foaming. https://alln1kc.com/used-parts/CHEVR.../2011/details/ This is the LT/2 well optioned parts car available for a while. Notice it has the 15in alloy split-ray wheels. I have the same wheels with 185/60s on it . Sounds like you bought a winner with manual trans and have the skills to keep that Gen 2 alive and I'm sure it will serve you well.
