I suggest you consult a qualified technician repairer of XBOX, PLAYSTATION or NINTENDO perhaps you are incorrect weld to attach display DIC

he is saying finding someone with experience in modifying/repairing electronics, like the ps3, xbox, etc to have them check or correctly solder the button for the DIC..

What if you wired a momentary switch on the dash somewhere else? That should work too

That is what I did.

I mounted it in the knock out where the power mirror switch would be if I had power mirrors. I don't have a pic but I can take one.

I used one of these: Momentary round Push-Button Switch 250V/3A 125v/6a x5 | eBay

I still have the oem cluster that came with the DIC, so if anyone wants parts (or the whole cluster for that matter) I could be talked out of it. I paid $90 for it and would like to get most of it back.
