Alarm gremlins driving me crazy

Good afternoon,

I have a 2008 LT automatic with power windows and locks, 38k miles. It’s a good little car but the alarm is driving me crazy. Have a new car battery and new fob battery but having same issue as before I replaced. The lock and unlock buttons are not working and if I use the key itself to unlock the car the alarm goes off. The alarm Continues to go off even if I put key in the ignition and turn engine on. I’ve unplugged the anti theft module and battery for 30 min and it still does the same thing, what should I try next?

No sure if this will help, but my 2004 had about the same issue you are having. My issue turned out to be a bad alarm switch for the Hood.
