Anyone else live in Canada and have the bulls**t problem of going to get gas and you cant get the door open because its frozen shut. The lever wont budge, and if I try to pull it up, you can hear the turd plastic piece almost snapping. Anyone?

yeh ive had that prob durin the summer, i would have to get random people to help me open my gas lid. i had to bend a piece back a bit inside but i cant remember exactly what i did for sure to help you out. but thats all i remember.
Sigh, I miss my Chevette. That thing was carburated, rear wheel drive and was bulletproof

LOL, that happened to me last week, we had some freezing rain. I had to have some girl pull the lever while I pushed the door open.
Ive had that happen a few times. I just broke the ice in the gap around the door with my key.

Nxt time you get your fuel door open take a paper towel and spray it with WD40 and wipe all the internal pieces of your hinge and such. It will keep water from freezing to them. I have to do that to my rims in the winter time here, because I have 17's when it snows 6"+ it builds up and actually makes it feel like your car lurches cus it has snow and ice packed in lol. Plus its a good plastic detailer under the hood lol.Quote:
