another aveo has hit the end of the line

today my aveo threw its throwout bearing and cooked the clutch, the engine has been leaking oil, coolant and i had a small break fluid leak for the last year or so, needs new shocks and struts and possibly new bearing, so its just not economical for me to fix it, so i am buying a new f150, i will continue to check in occasionaly.

2 - 3 years of paying for gas in that f-150 might cover the cost of the used engine swap...

anyhow, good luck with the new purchase.

You cant go moose hunting in an aveo for one and, I have had several times now in the rocky Mountain snowstorms where 4x4 would have helped me and besides they way i drive, a truck is really the only option, as i need the room in it to pull over and sleep correctly cause i work a 14 hr shift then drive for four hours sleep for 8 or so then continue on for another 10 hours, the aveo just wasnt cutting it anymore, and i was also gonna get a speeding ticket sooner or later if i didnt have cruise control.

you dont have to defend yourself.. i was just saying..

I'm keeping my aveo until i get the money for an rs4.. and then the apr supercharger.. so the f150 will be gas friendly compared to that.

true, i have reached that point in my life where fuel economy is not so important anymore, so i am looking for comfort lol. but the aveo has been a fun little car especially on freshly paved windy mountain roads.

Sorry, but I am drunk, bored, and it is WAY past my bedtime. Dang night shift.

Kevin, no you do not have to defend your position.
Ford F-150=expensive gas [based on my commute].

      Toy: 1996 built Cherokee.

Aveo: Daily Driver (60 mile commute, at least 10 times per week). I am DYING for a faster, more gas guzzling car, but is is not logical. When I bought the Aveo, the difference in the price of gas (XJ vs. Aveo) paid for the price of the car payment. As much as I want a toy for speed, a lack of car payments keeps me logical.

Oh yeah, the reason I posted...

Set the car aside. Replace the clutch. Driver her into the ground and save pennies on gas.
