      aveo adventure vehicle

so thinking about turning my aveo in to an light fuel efficient adventure vehicle to Explore the Province of Ontario with my fiancee. the car does so much better in snow and off-road then my boat (mitsubishi Galant) plus i would not dare to risk damaging the Galant.

im thinking of removing the back seat to turn it in to a storage area, roof rack to hold a storage bin, and 2 26lb light weight kayaks, and bike rack that would attach to tow hitch to hold 2 light weight mountain bikes.

run 4 beefy snow tires on stock steel rims, plus full size spare, and maybe a metal skid plate to protect the oil pan

      Wat you guys think?

sounds freakin sweet. but it might be allot for the car to handle. i have a roof rack on mine and when my car has 2 people in it and 2 mountain bikes on it, it sometimes bogs down on hills and highway on ramps. try to figure out how much everything will weight and try putting that weight in sandbags in the car to test it out... just a thought.

wow denis is it just me or has it been a while since you were on? how you been? I think the idea is pretty sweet. I've always thought of somethingvlike that... even to the point of turning the whole rear of the car in a make shift bed for those times when we go to parties in remote areas.
I leased Pontiac Wave from September 2006 to August 2011.

it has been a long time, after this forum went down, i have moved from ontario to NY, lived their for 1 year for school, sold the aveo to my mom, bought a 2008 mitsubishi Galant, finished school, moved back to Hamilton ON, got engaged. did the timing belt on the mom's aveo and will be buying it back from her soon.
