An Aveo idea I had..

i have never driven one, but that is the needs of going from an F23(which i understand we have) to a F28 six speed...

The Aveo uses a D16 manual transmission which is rated for roughly 160 lb-ft of torque. Im probly going to swap my D16 for the D20 my 2.0L is made to go with, that one is rated for around 200 lb-ft.

The F28 is a direct bolt on to the 2.0L, not sure about the 1.6L (I'm pretty sure it would since the D16 bolted right up to the 2.0L), but you need to do the FWD conversion on it, make a custom mount and install digital speed readout. exist3nce did it on his turbo optra.

good info, i got that we have a f23 from another forum. guess not. i would look into more, but for the cost of either the tranny, or a turbo kit, i will just swap in a cobalt ss drivetrain.

Then take the Mazda Miata and Put a Ford 5.0 in it.

They have a kit for that I think.
