Aveo value crushed but not shredded?

Here is a factoid that I hope all Aveo owners never need to consider. At current steel prices, mid Feb., 2025, an AVEO is in a salvage yard after the "honeymoon" (all in-demand parts sold), it is worth $340+/-at the shredder. That is why you can't buy a whole car from a salvage yard. Any parts they sell is profit/operating expenses. Crusher value is the last bit of profit that the yard can 'squeeze' out of it and body parts don't sell well due to low demand and high cost of installation and painting.
