More work. I had an issue with condensation (morning dew) screwing up my paint job.

So I buckled and repainted. It looks a lot better. Honestly painting does not take that long.

I had bought a factory spoiler from a guy here on the board. After three years I mounted it today. Spoiler

So here is more pictures from work last night. I wired up the horn, the fog lights, and grabbed ignition power for the all the time running lights.

I took the four wires and shoved under the rubber boot protecting the main wiring harness. I then ran some plastic tubing to protect the wires:

Here is a bigger picture showing what it took to access that point.

Well, after much work this phase of the project is over.

      What was done:
      1) New coil-over shocks
      2) Rabbits coil-over shock adapter kit.
      3) Glue, rivet, epoxy, sanded, bondo, sanded, primed, and painted a civic front lip onto my front bumper
      4) Wire up new headlights (Turn signal and halo/led lights)
      5) Wire and nstall new fog lights
      6) Wire and install truck horn (including a custom switch)
      7) Deleted My front chevy badge and cleaned up the front grill
Replace a broken stud and replace all the crappy chrome (starting to rust) lug nuts with black lug nuts

There is a plenty left to do. So this thread is not going to die. I have several my how-tos and reviews to complete.

I want to thank the Admins for putting my thread onto the email for this month.

My comment on my new shocks and coil-overs....ah....my....A$$. This is going to hurt. I am very tempted to dump this setup in favor of new springs and shocks. Don't worry we can argue all those points in a new thread.

      OK Picture Time!

New lug nuts, you can almost see the rust forming on the chrome ones.

That last picture, you might want to turn the hood bump stops down a couple of turns, because it looks like your hood is being pushed up.

You're right. It does look like the hood is being pushed up. If you notice on the driver side fender has a gap. That's where the deer hit the front. So I have not started working on the issues on the hood. I replaced the radiator support. So I may have not got stuff perfectly aligned when I welded it back into the car. So just wait, the hood is going to be yet an other part of "BACK FROM THE DEAD" Zombie Car!

Fuel Economy is not as good as original. It used to be 32 MPG now it's around to 28 MPG (1 Mile per gallon = 0.425143707 kilometers per liter) or 11.90392 KPL. Overall I am pleased. Of course my driving habits is heavy on the foot and GTFOMYW (I invented that! Get the F out of my way) driving style. So I normally cruise at 80 MPH.

All my latest updates have gone into a special section about the shocks http://www.aveoforum.com/forum/f85/c...-shocks-19473/

I appreciate that. Most importantly, it gives somebody else the opportunity to see what's possible and DIY their car.
