I would say a lot worse on this site, however I decided to keep my !#@ $%^ #$%% mouth shut.

On the other hand, I went back and redid the epoxy. I sanded and used an adhesive prep. I also put a layer of fiberglass on the underside to help the two hold together. It's popping loose already. I removed all my screws and countersunk rivets in place tonight. So I think that will hold. I just hope, when I put on the top layer of epoxy to transition between the two fenders, I hope that holds. Pictures will come soon again.

Time for an update. It's coming up to a month. I have been out of town for work and the weather has not made working on the car easy. I got the headlights and the fog lights. So it's a matter of wiring everything together and adding in switches. I would love if my wiring harness supported fog lights, I don't think it does. So I may buy the light switch with the fog light add-on.

I was going to make a snide remark about your weather until I saw that.

Well, granted I don't have 9 months of cold as "#$%" weather. I also don't have my car in a garage to do work. The next operations require over 50 temps as I have to mix epoxy and microballons to feather the lip in the bumper. I have been temped it to bring the bumper into my living room. But the epoxy will stink up the house. Maybe after the weekend when GF is not here again. I got to get that guy back on the road!

9 months! To you it's probably more like 10 or 11.

I vote for living room repairs! Epoxy actually has very little odour. Polyester fiberglass resin is the really stinky stuff. I rebuilt a boat rudder in the basement last winter using lots of epoxy. Didn't stink the place up.

I don't know where you are in ur AVEO 5 rebuild since the last post has been almost a year. I spotted a really nice 2011 black 5dr #197111,. built 1/2011,. on Kansas City crais list. It has <50K miles, 5spd, manual crank windows. Carfax shows Iowa ownership. It has gone from dealer to auction to dealer, etc. since June of 2013.Current dealer, Country Hills Motors, Olathe, KS would be motivated to take offers. Eithwer way, best of progress on your project!!!

Also, can someone give me the phonetic pronunication of BUPYEONG? My best guess is:

Boo-pe-young? I might need to go to the local Korean market and ask.

I agree, going to fix it once Monday comes and GF is gone back home. At least here we have about 9 months of warm and a good 3 to 5 of hellish hot weather. At least I have a lake to cool off.

GF and I are going to be buying a sailboat and yes, I will be rebuilding/repairing a rudder too. So congrats on your rudder job.

This is about a non-sequitur of a post in my thread.

So try this: 부평시장역 <- Bupyeong Market Station. That should help on pronunciation.
