Camshaft Positioning Sensor Replacement?

Hey Aveo Cousins,

I have a 2006 Aveo Hatchback that needs to have the Camshaft Positioning Sensor replaced. I have read and talked to many people and mechanics that have said don't worry about it to It'll cost $880.00 to replace sensor AND timing belt. I am NOT mechanically inclined at all, but after seeing a video on how to replace the sensor without taking the timing belt off, I feel confident I could do it. I do have a quote from a repair shop of $170 just for the sensor. Do you think this is a easy thing for me to do myself or go with the repair shop for $170? I will have to replace my timing belt soon, but I will cross that bridge when I come to it!

What should I do!!??

it is very easy to do there are write ups on this if you search for it in the forums. just dont buy cheap parts. =)

Its less than $30 for an AC delco sensor. If the $140 is with your time, do it on your own.
