      checked out new aveo

was goin to the store last night and was passed by a new aveo(hatch) with dealer plates on it. it changed lanes into my lane, and turned into the same store i was going to. i parked, he parked and i walked over and asked him to check it out. he opened it up for me and i gotta say, i was not that impressed. the only thing i liked on it was the taillights and the fact it was the same color as my car. oh, they now offer the aveo with onstar.

it really did look like a small toyota matrix.

You can not commit crimes in a Aveo. Its just not fast enough.

I am happy with my 08. Easy to strip badges and other stuff down.

Didn't care for the front end on the new Chevy and Suzuki.

in pictures i thought it looked pretty good.....but.... in person its a mess. Very Toyota Matrix. And no change in the engine which pisses me off. We need a ss aveo even if it only makes like 150hp ill be happy jeeez. GM do sumtin smart

there is a change in the engine....they aren't going to put a bigger engine in unless it gets better mpg, especially with whats going on with gas....why would they risk investing that money into that?

i know but they can freakin make an ss model or sumtin . Like you have the reg cobalt and u have the ss. Im sure the aveo ss would be a huge hit. It could make the Aveo best bang for the buck. I mean it would be nice havin a model up from the LT. A turbo or supercharged version SS.
      Juss my opinion.

but if they made that ss model it would take away from cobalt sales no doubt....which is their flagship compact car and the aveo is just thrown in there to compete with the other b-segements like yaris and fit not its own other cars

true but the yaris and the fit are still faster than the aveo which is sad. And the fit alone has a million after markets parts for it already. GM should atleast sell after market parts like they do for the cobalt and the sunfire/cavalier, vibe and etc. They should be sold through GM and be good with the warranty.

Until now it hasnt been a Chevy engine tho. Plus for them to develop these kits, there has to be a demand. Besides maybe 60 people, who would really buy it? Hell, we couldnt even get a turbo kit made with 2 vendors on here because there was no demand.
