      chev aveo wheel bearings

      hi new to forum but not to the repair of car wife has a 2007 aveo changed front wheel bearings and now its time to start on the rear question is. are they the same bearing front and rear as will go to a bearing house not the white box store and get quality bearing at reasonable cost thanks mike

      Welcome to the site Mike.

      No, its not the same bearing. The rear axles use drum brakes vs disc brakes up front.

      that doesent answer my question as both drum and disc are retained and new bearings installed in them mike

      the front bearing and rear are different. it is just the sizes that are different, as they fit around different parts.

      one rides on a spindle and turns with the hub/drum. The other has the spinning hub pressed inside it and is inside the spindle.

      So the front is which one
      one rides on a spindle and turns with the hub/drum. The other has the spinning hub pressed inside it and is inside the spindle.
