i agree, but since the aveo seems to be moving up in price and size versus its current model, its not as entry level as it is now..
any pricing info on the beat, its marginally smaller than the current aveo, (2-3" iirc)?

Haven't seen any Beat pricing. But I don't think GM has committed to bringing it to North America yet.
Oh: a while back the blogs were all excited about a heavily camo'd small sedan caught out testing. Most of them guessed that it was the Aveo, but I don't think it was - too many design elements didn't match. Including 4 lug wheels, vs. 5-lug on the production version of the next gen hatch which we've seen.
Maybe it's a Beat sedan. ... http://www.autoblog.com/2010/07/23/spy- ... veo-sedan/
I should start a thread about that...
the beat is just the new matiz, right? do they make a matiz sedan, or comparable?
almost looks like it could be the "current" chevy epica.
I wasn't sure, but Wiki says yes, and no.Originally Posted by petrified.rabbit

I wanted the Aveo RS, this news makes me a sad panda
I'm putting my money on: you'll be able to get your Aveo RS.
But I like the sad panda anyway.
FYI, another current (August 31st, 2010) reference to the next gen Aveo:
August 31st, 2010 - http://www.thecarconnection.com/marty-b ... as-toyotasChevrolet now has a new small-car strategy in place; in addition to the new Cruze and Volt, a more substantial, sporty replacement for the Aveo will arrive in about a year, as well as a basic, economical Chevrolet Spark hatchback within the next year.
i wonder if the spark will take the entry car slot and bump the aveo/cruze up a tier instead?
Yup, that's what I've read anyway.
