Cleaned throttle body, cleared most hesitation...

The last coule of days my aveo (06 svm) has been feeling a little sick when cold.

It would jerk after each shift (5speed) a generally not want to go any faster than an easy creep forward, until warm.

I cleaned out throttle body and most all of the hesitation is gone. I did this once at 50k and now the car has 99k so it looks like it should be done every 50k.

The back side of the butterfly was the worst. Took a ton of wipes with a shop towel soaked in what I had laying around which was wd40 - sprayed onto the towel.

There was a butload of crap on the back of the butterfly where the center pivot is. Seems there is some area here for the crap to collect. I think this about of crud might have been particles of my intake hose which I found has a huge crack in it and is deteriorating.

Who knows how many miles this engines been taking in unfiltered air!

I had one steady and one flashing CEL the otherday, but the codes have since cleared.

I'm way overdue for an oil change so thats next... I believe the car might be getting pissy with me saying hey, "keep it cool until you get this watered down oil soup out of me!"

If that doesnt help the final hesitation ( you can barely feel it but at cruise (45 in 4th) it feels like the motor misses every few seconds)... next I'll get the fuel filter changedq.

Probably time for some new plugs and an air filter, although the filter looks ok.

I start simple then worry about sensors, and coil packs, ect.. hopefully its not that.
