      Common coolant leak location?

The warranty has obviously expired. Me and GM may end up with a pretty short relationship.

Is there a common location for a small coolant leak with these cars? I've seen the T-stat housing mentioned several times but usually it's a catastrophic failure rather than a seeping leak. I can smell a leak, but I don't see it yet.

Of course stuff starts breaking when the weather gets cold and there's snow on the ground. ugghhhh!

That sounds like a good idea. I've never heard of dye being used on anything other than AC, but I think that is what I'll do.

      Post Tiny radiator leak.

I know this is an old post but it may help someone else. You don't need dye just a blacklight. Look for coolant leaks along where the fan housing meets the radiator core. Mine rubbed a hole in the radiator there.Name: radiator leak.jpg

Size: 340.9 KBZoom in on this picture and you'll see what I'm talking about. It took me several months to locate the leak. Eventually it got large enough for me to find. I never thought about using a black light until then. I tried the blacklight and it showed all of the antifreeze on the radiator.
