Yeah I do have a question about cruise as well... I have an '07 hatchback and was curious on a nice cheap aftermarket cruise system I could put in it, I ebayed it and saw the one for my car but it was $200... wondering if there is a cheaper method or even something I could retro fit from another car, and if so how could it be done?
you need to look at the cruise thread in the DIY section, it will cost you about $30, and be about as OEM as you can imagine.

Hey, i know this thread has been dead for a while but ive really been wanting to get cruise control installed in my 2005 chevy aveo ls hatchback, but it is a throttle cable driven car unfortunately.. i was wondering if you ever got the kit and got it all installed and working properly in your aveo. Thank you for any replies!
