DOWN side to UP size aspect ratio?

At 31k miles the oem Hankook 185/55/15 are ready for recycling. I can buy a set of Yorky Avid Ascends 185/60/15 cheaper than the same brand with 55 a.r. The difference is between $100 to $125, which is why i am asking if any of you have up-sized a.r. and problems developed. The diameter variance is 3.17%, about 20 mm difference The circumference of the 55s is 72.29, the 60 is 74.58. If you have any thoughts, I would appreciate your imput. I will have the new set by mid May, at the latest. Thanks!

You can run them, your speedometer and odometer will be off 3% though.

I run slightly smaller. It's been no problem. I have to use the GPS to figure out a speed difference.
Please do not power off, firmware update pending.....

Thank you.....good to know there is a cheaper (somewhat) alternative to the series 55. I guess, in the tire industry, you pay more for less sidewall, harsher ride and chance of rim damage from potholes, etc. If I understand correctly, my Aveos readout speed will be 3% < the actual speed as measured from outside, like a cops radar gun.

You mean a.r. <55? Less rubber on the road, less road noise, more revolution, more tire wear, better traction on wet roads and cooler look. Good to know, Aveo owners are not locked in to one size fits all needs.Thank you!
