...Are OUTRAGEOUS! there's a guy on there selling them for almost $300! and you can get a BRAND NEW Set Shipped to your Door From Helm for $218! That's 100% markup! what are everyone's thoughts on it?
??????????
he wants a paper factory service manual.
what do you need it for?
There's a sucker born every minute, and 2 EBAY sellers to take him. Personally I have a problem paying even $200 for a manual. Yes, I know that if you wrench the manual will pay itself back multiple times, but forking over the initial cash is hard for me to do. With no Haynes available, I've been winging it with my Aveo, using a combination of various sources - this and other forums, DIYs, and random info. It's worked so far for everything including a timing belt change, but coincidentally just last week I bought a $10 CD on EBAY - I figured why not take a shot for such small money.
I have no idea how this compares to the actual FSM, but there no question in my mind that it's worth the ten spot. I don't have any current repairs needed for mine right now, so I've just been spot-checking various sections. It uses drawings instead of actual photos, but it does seem to be reasonably well done. The exploded views can be drilled to get to any detail you need. I'll find out more when I use it for the first time on an actual repair, but I feel like I'm 500% better off than having nothing
I believe its chiltons which has an online manual for the Aveo. You have to pay a minimal subscription fee to use it of course.
