Etiquette question: Separate thread for my rebuild project or just chime into related

Hey there,
I'm curious about what the proper etiquette is for Forum threads. I was thinking of creating a new thread under Engine/Drive train to document my steps and process questions--all in one location. Or should I just post entries as questions come up/in existing threads?

I'm about to commence a fairly major set of rebuild activities including:

• replace transmission, (postponed, I just remounted it...contrary to Chev dealer)
• replace clutch, (I will delay this until required)
• replace front struts, (done 8/13)
• replace the air cleaner intake hose & filter, (done 8/13)
• replace front brakes, (inspected self, good for another 20K...contrary to local shop)
• replace timing belt, (done 8/22)
• replace serpentine belt, (done 8/26)
• replace spark plugs and wires, (done 8/26)
• replace valve gasket, (done 8/26)

An example my questions would be:

1. What order should I commence the aforementioned projects?
2. Given the tear down is going to this level, what else should I tackle along the way?

Its really up to you. I would probably do one thread for all your transmission stuff, another for suspension stuff, etc.

However, you can have a build thread that has it all, or links to all the other things you did. I like having a build thread so you can do back and look at one thread and see what you did and when.
