When my release bering failed, the tech that changed it made the comment on the work order that it had failed due to lack of lubrication (defective from factory). It might be a problem that is a little bit more spread than I thought it was judging from the comments.
Oui je suis francophone. De Hearst, Ontario plus précisement.

I leased Pontiac Wave from September 2006 to August 2011.
my car had a loud bearing since about 5000mi and at 76008 miles clutch is still doing well... its a cheap car bro, welcome to the site
Most of my family originaly comes from there, the Lacroix family from Hearst.
I was just surprise that, even though I know it's a cheap car, something like that would happen. I drove cheap cars before, my Audi is my first "high class" car and I can't wait to put it back on the road, it's just that I get about 18mpg in the city on good days and there's too much stuff I need to repair on it, my old Golf is considered totaled (needs inspection to get back on the road, not going to happen) and I have an old military vehicle that needs an engine... Yeah, I have 4 cars and only one is running, call me crazy, my brother and father both have two vehicles (both only have one that is in working condition), it runs in the family!
Haha good stuff. I had a hunch you would be familiar with the place. I'd say ang majority of the kids from Hearst move to the Ottawa region and have been doing so for decades.
One of these days you guys are going to think the clutch is gone in your car because the clutch bearing seizes up! lol. If any of you are the type to hold the clutch in at a stop light, then that is probably the reason why your clutch bearing is making noise. Just sayin'.

Went to the dealer, just waiting for my work schedule for next week to know when I can go get the job done, will pass under waranty. The mecanic listened for 2 seconds and said "Yup that's your problem, I'll go check if I have one in stock" and that was it. Had it not been guaranteed I would have changed for a SKF, I guess it will have to wait!
Ditto what ontarian_frog said. My 2006 Swift+ clutch bearing was replaced on warranty no questions asked because it got noisy, about two years into the cars life. Service said it was a bad bearing. Never had a problem since.
