Didn't say you did actually. I did a pretty in-depth search and could not come up with anything except for one of those car customizing shows on the tube. Supposedly they put a set on a Benz or something. Doubt it was really titanium.

Oh, and the cost of a forged magnesium motorcycle wheel is around the 3,000 to 3,500 dollar range. For the good ones anyway.

I still think they would be too soft for automotive use unless developed specifically for a particular car. Even then the weight difference would be negligible when comparing the cost difference.

Who needs em' anyways, I had a set of Enkies that weighed 7 pounds a piece and they were great. Picked em' up for about 600 buck w/out tires though and those were 17's.

I can guarantee they didnt weight 7lbs each. Maybe 17lbs.

I'll see if I can throw one on the scale at work this week, they are really light and i remeber the guy at American Tire telling me they were the lightest wheels they carried and they were 7 pounds. I wouldnt put it past any salesman to be full of $hit though. I'll check!

If they are 7lbs, they are lighter than most 15" drag rim that cost over $500 per rim.

No way.... lightest 17" wheel is above 11# each. Every 17" wheel available under 15# is over $300 a piece too

      Strong for its weight....yes
      Almost indestructible...not even close

It isnt until Titanium is mixed with another metal that makes is very strong.

Ok, I called Enkie today because I was a little pissed off if I didn't get what I paid for and they told me the peticular wheels were aproximently 10lbs each. I put one on the scale at work and it's 10.27 w/out tires. Stupid tire salesman lol. They are A&L Racing Division of Enkie wheels co. Alluminum Alloy wheels. Also I got these so cheap because my friends dad owns this shop and I bought 3 and got one free. Hope that clears up the confusion, sorry.
