Front struts (compatible between different years?)

I have a 2006 hatchback that needs front struts. I found good ones on a 2009 hatchback. Are they interchangeable?

Hard to imagine that on an Aveo forum there isn't a member that knows.

2009 is second gen, 2006 is first gen, so why would anyone here 'know' that parts from different generations are interchangeable? And I can never understand why people post questions like this anyway, because all you have to do is use the online parts sites to cross-check the part numbers. All it takes is a few minutes to get the answer yourself.

You're right, you can never understand but I'll try to explain realllly slowwwwly so even you can understand. That's... why... these... groups... exist. People that know, sharing info. Did that make your balls grow bigger? You're an idiot.

im not being abrasive nor trying to be... just helpful... that's only simple logic... maybe that person is unaware of cross reference of part numbers... I'm sorry If you feel I'm being mean... maybe you shud look in a mirror... not everyone had bad intentions
