Fuel gage not working.

I just rplecaed the fuel pump on a 2005 aveo ls but now the fuel gage doesnt work. The old pump and gage worked fine but was noisy so I replaced it for the heck of it. Now the fuel gage doesnt work at all. I took the old side by side with the new and pluged both connectors in place and cycled the float arm but the old pump didnt affect the gage at all with the key on. The car runs fine but the fuel gage no longer works with either pump. I have 2 codes #P0463 & #P0452. I tried wiggling the wires but still no fuel gage. It always worked before. I also tried resetting the codes but that didnt do anything either. Any ideas or sence of direction?

Got it fixed. The grease or paste the factory put on the electrical plugs to prevent corrosion is what was preventing proper contact.
I used contact cleaner to clean the connection / pins.
